
As the bottom-up economics approach propelled by Deputy President Doctor William Ruto takes root, His allies from Gusii have met to plot the region’s way forward.
The leaders led by Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko met on Thursday morning at Weston Hotel in Nairobi to discuss the social-Economic development of the region.
Speaking exclusively to The Daily Clock, Maangi said they have already created a steering committee that will engage residents in collecting issues affecting the region economically.
“We met today to discuss the bottom-up economic approach of our region. We have created a steering committee that will traverse to consult and collect views on what is affecting us as far as economics is concerned,” Said Maangi.
The 2022 Kisii gubernatorial Candidate further said the committee shall design a detailed plan geared towards shaping the region’s needs.
“Deputy President has rung the bell. The bottom-up approach is the way to heal our sunken economy. After traversing our region, we will design a detailed plan tailored to the current needs,” he said.
Dr. Ruto argues in his rallies that the only way to heal Kenya’s economy is to overturn what has been practiced since independence, the trickle economics.
He says the long term ailment Kenya has gone through since is a wrong approach towards its economy.
