Deputy President Dr. William Ruto on Sunday answered ODM Leader Raila Odinga on his sentiments made on Saturday claiming Ruto is dishing out stolen Cash.

While addressing mourners in Nyeri, Raila categorically accused Ruto of abandoning his duties of helping the president accomplish their promises made to Kenyans in 2013 and 2017.

“The president has nobody to help him fight corruption. That is why I and him came together to seal the loopholes,” said Raila.

He further accused the DP of embezzling Public Funds which he has been trusted with by Kenyans.

“Others are just loitering looking for Boda Boda riders, Mama Mboga and Churches to dish out stolen Cash. Whatever you see them giving out is stolen Cash from Government,” He continued.

While addressing congregants at a church service in Umoja, Nairobi, Ruto backed up Raila’s sentiments saying the accusations are absolutely true.

“I hear they are now asking why I give donations to Mama Mboga, Boda Boda, and the church, I want to tell them that their accusation is very true. What they forget to tell you is how I helped them,” He said.

The soft-spoken Ruto said he tirelessly worked to push Raila into the position of a prime minister in 2008 and Uhuru into the presidency in 2013 and 2017.

“When I helped them clinch powerful Positions, Mama mboga and Boda did not complain. Why are they complaining now when it’s time to help the less fortunate too yet I helped them?” asked Ruto.

After politically working together in the 2007 general election, Ruto recounts the day Raila abandoned them and Joined Kibaki to form a Nusu Mkate coalition Government.

On National and International media outlets, Ruto had declared Raila Odinga as the president Elect in 2007 against the IEBC Results which had declared Kibaki the constitutional president-elect.

After the post-election violence, Raila bowed to shake hands with then-elected President Mwai Kibaki. He left out his team they worked together with including William Ruto who was his spanner boy by then.
