Gusii social Media Platforms have gone up in flames after ODM Leader Raila Odinga posted Photos hosting leaders from Gusii.

In the Photo, ODM brigade led by Kisii Governor James Ongwae were seen posing  with Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i days after partying ways.

Matiang’i who has been closely working with Ongwae, Kisii senator Sam Ongeri and Kisii Women Rep Janet Ong’era badly parted during the Bonchari By-election.

The Super CS fielded a jubilee Candidate to battle Ongwae’s ODM Candidate in the hotly contested race.

Things went south after Matiang’i allegedly used Police who stormed Ongwae’s residence in Rioma at Night with teargas, a move that was seen as intimidating the ODM spearheads.

“Discussed matters of national interest and the development of the Nyanza region at a working lunch hosted by Leaders from the Gusii community led by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi and Governor James Ongwae,” Read Raila’s Post.

The ODM communication Director Philip Etale sent more confusion after claiming on his twitter handle that the meeting was purposely for reconciliation between Matiang’i and Ongwae.

With the divorce between the two, Close sources say Matiang’i has been under pressure to regain his glory in Gusii after losing the Bonchari by election.

The source further affirms that the CS is running up and down to regain trust from his master, Uhuru Kenyatta.

The losing of Bonchari by election to Ongwae was a big blow to his National political ambitions.

Allies close to the governor have dismissed Etale’s post saying a proper reconciliation must be done in Public and not in hosted lunch meetings.

They argue that leaders will always meet in meetings and that doesn’t mean issues have been sorted. They further maintain that there must be a candid discussion for a reconciliation to be done warning residents to stop reading too much from the Photos.

It has emerged that Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi and Chris Obure who were too seen in the Photo misled the CS to field Opore against an earlier agreement with Ongwae teamed to have Oimeke as the handshake candidate.

They convinced him that the handshake candidate could only promote Ongwae’s profile against his, in terms of regional politics.

The real content of the meeting is not yet clear. In separate Photos Matiang’i did not take any Photos with the ODM team led by Ongwae.

Additionally in the viral Photo were Former Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire, Former Kisii Senator Chris Obure and Junet Mohamed.
