UDA Party invades Kiamokama ahead of 4th By-Election

The Kiamokama by-election in Kisii County appears to shift to Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance Party (UDA).

For the past two weeks, Ruto allies led by the Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi have been camping to drum support for Moses Nyandusi Nyakeramba.

Among the team is EACJ Justice Hon. Charles Nyachae, Hon. Omingo Magara, Hon. Zaheer Jhanda, Hon. Samwel Omwando, Hon. Anthony Kibagendi, Hon. Don Bosco Gichana, Maureen Kemunto, Jared Nevaton, and Dennis Omanwa.

On Sunday the delegation which attracted thousands in various locations within the ward said they will carry the day come 4th February 2021.

“It’s evident from the ground in the days we have camped here with my team that Nyakeramba has won the electorate. We do not doubt that on 4th we will carry the day,” Said Maangi.

In one voice they called on residents to vote peacefully and wisely. They appealed for free fair and credible elections.

Their Kieleweke rivals who are supporting their ODM Candidate have been missing from the ground in what was termed by Political experts as losing fear.

Residents told the media on Monday that they will not vote for last-minute candidates who have been asleep.

“The only person who has come to us is Nyakeramba. We have so far not seen any candidate. We say no to last-minute people running to us with tractors in the name of development. Where have they been since Mainya died?” Asked Daniel Onkoba.

The area MCA Kennedy Mainya who was serving his second term died in November 2020 after a long illness.
