Interior cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i has initiated plans to set up a modern computer laboratory at Riokindo Girls Secondary School in Kisii County.
Speaking at the School grounds on Friday, Matiang’i ordered a team from National Government to break ground next week for the project.
“Principal look for a good place to build a computer laboratory which i had promised you. Next week I will send a team to break ground and we will fully equip it,” Said Matiang’i.
He toured Tombe girls in Nyamira, Riokindo Boys and girls in Kisii County to commission the newly built modern science laboratories.
The giant projects were built by Safaricom Foundation.
Matiang’i called on religious leaders to intervene in the ongoing Nyamira County Assembly wars with the newly sworn in Governor H.E Amos Nyaribo.
“Our religious leaders we kindly besiege you, Put these leaders together and talk to them. What is going on in Nymaira is not good. Washing a dirty linen in Public is a shame to our community,” He Pleaded.
Early this week the Nyamira assembly rejected the nomination of Dr. James Gesami to a position of Deputy Governor.
It later emerged that the rejection was as a result of outside forces from people who want to frustrate Amos Nyaribo.
