Third president of the Republic of Tanzania Mzee Benjamin William Mkapa id dead. Mkapa died aged 81 at Dar es Salaam Hospital where he was admitted. President Doctor John Magufuli has announced.
Maguli announced on the early Friday 24th June 2020 on the Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC). Pombe said Mr Mkapa they have been hardly hit as a nation.
“I call on all Tanzanians to receive the news of his death and to pray for Mzee Mkapa. More information will be released but Mzee Mkapa is no more,” he said in brief television statement.
