The ruling Party Jubilee is expected to swallow Wiper Democratic Movement of Kenya in a coalition deal. The party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka announced on Tuesday after a zoom meeting with the National Executive Council.
The Council announced Four resolutions among them plans to enter into a Coalition Agreement with the ruling Party, Jubilee, in line with the emerging political realignments in the country.
They said that the Wiper Party of Kenya takes this step following the realization that the National Super Alliance Coalition which was formed under the leadership of ODM leader Raila Odinga has become totally dysfunctional.
They Further resolved that Special Delegates Conference be convened as soon as possible to ratify the NEC resolution concerning the envisaged Coalition and also adopt the Report of the party Disciplinary Committee.
The party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who was among the team that was conferred by President Uhuru Kenyatta as Senior Council thanked his supporters for their overwhelming congratulatory messages.
“Thank you Wiper Family and Kenyans at large for your congratulatory messages on my conferment as Senior Council. The good will is overwhelming, Thank you,” He posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
In May this year, KANU signed a post-election agreement with Jubilee, becoming the first party to formalise its agreement with the ruling party.
