The Bomachoge elders’ council is set to give a major declaration on the recent Political Attacks facing the Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi.

Led by their chairman James Ong’eta Kimonge, the elders have stood firm condemning what they termed as hungry intruders purporting to act on behalf of them.

Speaking to The Daily Clock on Thursday at Riagongera, the elders said their support for the Deputy Governor is unshaken.

“On Friday 17th January 2020, we have a major rally at Ogembo town in solidarity with our very own son Joash Maangi. The Elders will meet and give a statement on his recent attacks by opponents. We are unshaken,”  Said Kimonge.

Last week on 9th January, Police officers raided Maangi’s residential home in Kisii town and withdrew all his office vehicles.

A close confidant told the Daily Clock that Kisii County Staff who seem to be in support of the deputy have been transferred to various sub counties from Kisii Town.

On Tuesday this week, a group of what they termed as impersonators met at Fonmark Hotel in Ogembo where they told off MCAs allied to Deputy Governor Joash Maangi.

Led By Edward Begi, hey further declared they unwaved support for Kisii Governor James OngwaeBBI, Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i, President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Leader Raila Odinga.
