Bomachoge elders in Kisii County on Wednesday asked The Deputy Governor Joash Maangi to put aside their political differences and Join Governor James Ongwae in serving the electorate.
Addressing the Media at Ogembo on Wednesday, the grass-root leaders drawn from four clans which constitute the Abamachoge told the MCAs allied to Deputy Governor to use the Assembly and impeach Ongwae if at all they believe he is corrupt.
“I want to challenge those MCAs that they have a forum which is the County Assembly where they are supposed to go and bring forward a motion to discuss corruption there. If Ongwae is found to be a thief they impeach him. Let them stop using the media,” Said Former Councilor Elijah Mbweke.
Reading their resolutions arrived at after the meeting; the leaders maintained that they fully support the building bridges initiative propelled by President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
“As grass root leaders from the Abamachoge community drawn from the four clans, we fully support the BBI as conceived by his Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. We need healing and reconciliation to build a cohesive society free from tribal differences,” Said the group Secretary Edward Begi.
“The BBI is our golden opportunity to build this cohesive society called Kenya. We thank our governor James Ongwae for hosting the very first BBI report validation meeting in Kisii which was graced by Raila Odinga and Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiangi,” He continued.
They have sternly warned those trying to taint the name of interior CS Dr. Fred Matiangi.
