A section of Kisii youths on Tuesday came out warning elected leaders and Public servants to respect the President and his deputy.
In the past few days, there has been bitter exchange between Dr. William Ruto and Interior CS Matiang’i allies.
The youths lead by Zack Oanda and Willis Obegi have said no appointed Public servant has the audacity to point fingers at Deputy President for he makes up the presidency.
“We want to put this clear. The president and his deputy must be respected by all Kenyans. The people who were appointed by Jubilee Government must respect the presidency because this is the will of the people,” Said Oanda.
“The people who are walking around claiming to speak on behalf of Omogusii we don’t know them. The only people we know that represent us are elected leaders like the Governor and Members of Parliament,” He added.
Willis Obegi warned Kisii youths over use of abusive language when responding to Political issues.
“A lot has been heard on National Media. We saw a number of youths using abusive language. I want to be very clear, Kisii youths we were not groomed with this tendency of abusing people. We condemn the statements and put it clear that this will not be tolerated,” He said.
“Deputy President is an elected leader and not appointed. In this regard, he must be accorded full respect. He rallied for President Uhuru Kenyatta and when people voted Uhuru he was inclusively voted for,” He added.
On Sunday the Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa bitterly warned Matiang’i against his public utterances he made last week in Kirinyaga which he claims were directed to William Ruto.
This triggered reactions from both parties each defending their Leader.
