Angry residents have closed Nyambera-Industrial area road at Denmark in Kisii town until it has been repaired following its impassable state.
The residents who planted trees as a way of awakening the elected leaders have said heaped Soil and rain water has completely broken the busy murram road connecting the second largest Market in Nyanza, Daraja Mbili.
Boda Boda riders and business women have been swimming in a pool of mud water for over two months now. Vane Kerubo told The Daily Clock that it has been a nightmare to school going children.
“We have been angered by our elected leaders especially area MP Richard Momaima Onyonka who speaks fluently in Public. They told uswe wait in three weeks time but its over 2 months now without any action,” Protested John Makori.
The residents have further asked the Veteran Member of Parliament to first sanitize his constituency before contesting for a Kisii Gubernatorial seat 2022.
Momaima is currently on the run selling his ambition of succeeding the outgoing two terms Governor James Ongwae.
“How will he manage a whole County when he cant manage to repair a 100M road in his constituency. See how boda riders are stuck in Mud. Let him first concentrate in his constituency before asking us to vote him in 2022,” advised Joshua Mokua.
The residents have vowed to Continue closing the busy road until its repaired.
