A patient has died of suspected high blood pressure after Marani Hospital Nurses allegedly refused to attend her early Sunday morning.
According to well wishers who rushed her to Hospital narrates that they arrived at Marani at 6am where night shift Nurses allegedly refused to attend to her claiming they were through with their duty.
“The patient was on a critical Condition. We arrived at Marani Hospital at 6am but nurses present refused to attend to us claiming their time was over we wait until 8am for day time nurses. We pleaded with them but they chased us away,” He narrated a wisher who requested anonymity.
Daniel not his real name told The Daily Clock on Phone that they were forced to return back to Rioma to seek assistance from a clinic for first Aid as they plot a deal to transport her to Kisii Teaching and referral Hospital.
“We were forced to go back home and find a car to transport her to Kisii because family members were not around. We managed to find a donated car from the area chief and we left for Kisii Town,” He said.
Ann Manyura from Kenyoni one Village in Sensi ward, Kitutu Chache North died on arrival at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Sunday Morning.
Residents have condemned the inhuman act calling upon the Ministry of Health in Kisii County to investigate the matter and take action against the nurses who were present.
