Girls and Women Murder goes High in Kisii, Woman Rep Ong'era raises alarm.

Kisii county women representative Hon Janet Ong’era has called upon Kisii commissioner Godffrey Kigochi to implement the  Nyumba  Kumi program in villages.

This comes after two girls of nine and four years were defiled and killed In Kenyenya Bomachoge Borabu constituency .

“Its very shocking losing children, we call upon the investigation agencies  to ensure the culprits face full force of the law. I urge the Kisii Commissioner to activate Nyumba Kumi  in the villages to curb such cases,”Said Mama county.

“I send my  sincere condolences to the family  of Mwalimu Mazon Kirochi.  I will stand in solidarity  with them during this sad moment.These are heinous and needless murders that have truly shocked and catapulted our County  into a clarion call for action NOW’, She said.

In an exclusive interview with The Daily Clock on Sunday at His Office, Ong’era revealed how girls and women have been maimed , raped, murdered in the recent past without justice despite calls for the perpetrators to be brought to book.

“Stella Nyamagera was found  stripped naked and dead ! thrown into the river  in her home in Keumbu, Nyaribari Chache, in January, Maureen Monchari a school teacher was discovered dead in her apartment at Kenyenya, in April this year a 14-year-old class eight girl pupil was found dumped at Maili Mbili,” She Named.

“These are horrifying incidents not to mention the tragic murder in September 2018 of Alvinah Nyabwari in Mariba village, in the same year Pastor Esther Bochaberi was murdered and her body dumped in a sugar plantation in Migori County,” She added.

Ong’era expressed her sympathy to the above families who have never received Justice adding that these are just among the many murder cases targeted against women and girls.
