Shabana fc on Sunday thrashed Thika town based club, Bidco fc 2-0 in an encounter staged at Gusii Stadium to return to their winning ways after they had lost three matches in a raw in National Super League.The winning goals were netted by Shabana’s forward Oscar Oketch who made both team management and fans to celebrate .
Oketch headed in a cross from former Kenya international forward Bob Mugalia after some delightful inter-passes into their opponents’ territory in the 5thminute and the two sides managed a 1-0 to halftime break.
Oketch scored the second goal in the 88th minute to ensure the Kisii town based club collected all the three points and a clean sheet.
According Shabana assistant coach Andrew Kanuli who was in charge after head coach Gilbert Delebwe was out over the suspension, noted that defeating Bidco signaled that they had returned to their winning streak this season as they had maintained their unbeaten record to five games before losing their first match to Wazito three weeks ago.
“I hope all will be well with our head coach as we have laid down good strategies on how we will tackle our remaining games” he added.
On his side Anthony Akhulia Bidco’s head coach attribute their defeat to some small mistakes among his players who he said were still boasting after they had thrashed Wazito FC 2-1 on Wednesday.
“Like any other team we are also chasing the NSL title and we will put more effort in our upcoming games,and we know in each game you expect three things win, draw or alose “he said.
Shabana after playing nine games have registered 5 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses with Bidco who have played the same number of games have managed 3 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses.
On Saturday Shabana will visit Kisumu All Stars while Bidco will host Eldoret Youth in Thika.
