Kisii county residents have been advised to take caution over the diseases which are likely to be caused by wasters from clinics which has been dumped at an open place in Kisii town.
Speaking to this writer on Wednesday at kisii town Kepha King’oina who is a community Health officer said that residents are at risk of getting diseases from openly dumped used syringes and needles.
He added that the used syringe and needles that were found dumped opposite Deliverance Church Kisii are posing a high risk to pedestrians.
“It so unfortunate finding some people dumping used syringe,needles at an open place like this something which is environmental hazard to the residents,” Kepha said
Kepha noted that the wasters are likely to have been dumped from private clinics which are operating within Kisii town and it’s environs.
He has advised those with clinics to take responsibility and ensure they build incinerator .
