Boy child on social Media has reacted to a statement made on Tuesday by high court Judge James Wakiaga who referred Joseph Irungu as a Woman eater during a bail hearing application on a Murder case facing Joseph and His fiancee Jacque Maribe.
“…A male version of a slay queen which for lack of a better word i will call a woman eater. He was living in the house of the second accused, driving the second accused car with no known source of income……,” Said Wakiaga
Mutahi Ngunyi Question for MY FRIEND, Chief Justice (rtd) Dr Willy Mutunga: Is there a UNIFIED THEORY of JUSTICE in our Judiciary? Does a ‘WOMAN Eater’ (whatever that means) have the same CONSTITUTIONAL right to BAIL as ” a SLAY QUEEN”? ( A Pedestrian term used by TABLOIDS) “james wakiaga”
Mr. Wambui Boy child has always been on receiving end. Imagine if similar sentiments were directed to a lady. Imagine! What will we be talking now? Imagine!
Peter ongeti You release a slay queen and jail the equivalent (woman eater) that balancing act doesn’t add up but then again the other reasons I.e he has an armory to intimidate witnesses hahaha even though the fellow doesn’t have a house aki kenya.
kimathi njebi How will men cope with depression & suicide if the society stigmatises them for not being manly enough? By law, only men are supposed to be bread winners. Widows & Children Pension Fund-men only deducted to benefit wives. Widowers aren’t seen as dependants to wives.
Frank Ndege Relatives of the woman eater are very mad today. We are forgetting that he is only in jail but the victim is dead and buried. Do you think he thought of the rights of the victim? Was he merciful? Did he even think twice on that fateful day.
The Duke of Bunyore Honestly that was harsh…I mean, we already know that. He is a Judicial officer and as such he ought to operate from a neutral position. Such a statement could be interpreted to mean that the Jurist is prejudiced against the accused.
