Use the Affirmative Action funds well to uplift  your financial standards,Kisii women told

Seven women groups  in South  Mugirango  Kisii County on Monday benefited by receiving Ksh 2.1 million from the National Affirmative Action Fund.

Addressing women on Monday,  Kisii women representative Janet Ong’era  challenged the groups to use the funds well to uplift their financial standards.

Onge’ra who warned those who might misuse the funds said they will  make follow-ups by closely monitoring to ensure the funds are utilized accordingly.

 “Don’t misuse the funds because they are given free. Don’t divide the money amongst yourselves. Make sure you are utilizing them through initiating projects that will empower you economically,” she warned.

Mama county said Women from other parts of the county have successfully utilized the funds positively and have achieved the allocated purpose.

“Kisii women are renown for their hardworking,  am encouraging you  to work hard so that you can as well shine like other parts,” she said

She assured youths and people with disabilities  that they will also get their cheques.
