It has turned a bad week for Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu just few days after asking Kenyans on riparian land to incur he costs of moving the rivers instead of allowing their structures to be demolished.
On Wednesday, His wife Susan Ndung’u and 14 others were arrested in connection to illegal and unapproved construction of buildings in Nairobi.
Waititu being friends with City Governor Mike Sonko he called to plead for the release of his wife a friendly conversation that leaked.
Ms Ndung’u denied the charge and was released on a Sh 80,000 cash bail. She was charged alongside a developer (Mr Robert Rukwaro) and 10 casual labourers.
