Nyamira residents are blaming elected county and national government leaders from the county who have gone silent on the nurses strike crisis.
Speaking today, the electorate have called upon Senator Okong’o Mogeni,Women Rep Jerusha Momanyi,Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, West Mogirango MP Vincent Kemosi, Kitutu Masanba MP Shadrack Mose and North Mogirango Joash Nyamoko to hold a meeting with County Governor and find a lasting solution for the nurses strike.
“Nyamira county we are suffering. We are not receiving medication. Women Rep and senator please where are you? Move out of Nairobi come and rescue us. We elected you to defend our rights,” They asked.
“We don’t know why our senator and our women rep are silent. We don’t know what they are thinking. We plead to them they come on board and hold a meeting with Governor Nyagarama to resolve the financial crisis facing our county,” They added.
Nyamira nurses have been on strike since May citing they want their 3 months arrears now to be cleared before they resume.
