Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed shocked the nation on Tuesday after revealing how his son was soliciting money from her to buy KCSE leakage.
Appearing before the parliamentary Committee on Education, CS was explaining how students are fearing exams leading to school unrest in boarding schools.
“My son was in Form Four three years ago. He came asking for Money saying a teacher in his school had asked for the cash. According to the teacher, the money was to be used in Buying the students leaked KCSE papers,” Recalled Amina.
“I told him i did not have any money and i was going to work for it. He insisted saying the money was urgently needed. I firmly stood. He blamed me for failing to help him score an A plain like his colleagues,” Amina added.
The CS stated that 107 secondary schools had been affected by unrest where 67 were rocked by arson. She said 198 students who were involved in the unrest have been arrested.
