Nyamira Residents threaten riots if County will not end Nurses Strike.

Nyamira residents have now threatened to move into the streets if the County government will not quickly resolve Nurses strike which has paralyzed services in Public hospitals.

The health Workers who have been on strike since May are demanding their May and June salaries respectively.

Lead by Kenya Social Congress Chairman Atati Kengere, the residents have now asked the County government of Nyamira to immediately pay the nurses or else they will move to the streets.

Atati has accused the county government for not paying the workers their accumulated 3 months salary arrears citing the strike has affected many who cannot afford medication in Private Hospitals.

He has blamed the MCAs for not being watch dogs in defending the rights of the electorate by ensuring they get best services including medication.

Atati has now threatened to mobilize residents in solidarity with nurses if the County government led by Hon John Nyagarama will not immediately resolve the crisis.
