Ford Kenya Party Leader Moses Wetangula has on Monday withdrawn his party from NASA Coalition citing betrayal by ODM Partly leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking at Mtwapa in Kilifi County after a meeting with Party members, The Bungoma senator has said his party considered it necessary to exit NASA after Raila failed to unite the coalition when he united with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“In my view, NASA is now a moribund organization. NASA is History. We were in NASA as Ford Kenya in a coalition of the willing, We suffered a massive betrayal by our presidential candidate,” Said Wetangula.
Wetangula who was the Co-principal in NASA has said he will vie for presidential seat in 2022 adding that he will now concentrate on grass root campaigns to push his Agenda.
“Am leading a party that has concrete history and has fought hard in this country. Am a presidential candidate and my party has endorsed me for the position,” Said Wtangula.
NASA was left at crossroads after Odinga reconciled with President Uhuru Kenyatta in early March this year.
Wetangula accused Obama who visited Kenya on Sunday for not pushing any development in Kenya when he was the sitting president of the most powerful Country on earth.
