Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has appealed to the Ministry of Education to install CCTV cameras in every school for surveillance.
This came after Kisii National School dorm was set ablaze on Tuesday night.
Speaking at Kisii National School, the deputy governor said that CCTV Cameras are the ones which fished out the suspects.
Maangi said that the move is meant to curb theft among students and will promote discipline.
“Installation of CCTV will save difficult situation like vandalism and burglary,” said Maangi.
According to him installation will be an easier way to instill discipline on students.
He noted that the system provides evidence in case of illegal acts by students even in secret places within the school.
