Kenyans have woken up on Tuesday Morning with sad news of Migori senator Ben Oluoch who succumbed to throat cancer at MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi where he had been admitted.
Late Oluoch who was also a former KBC Radio presenter has been described as a great leader who loved serving Kenyans.
Speaking to Ramogi FM, ODM and opposition Leader Raila Odinga has described Oluoch who clinched the Migori senatorial seat on the ODM ticket as a Key leader.
“Ben was a strong man who battled cancer bravery. He remained cool despite the throat cancer pain. He was focused and one who loved his community with a firm belief in welfare of electorate. ODM has lost a key member who had yet to exploit his potential,” Said Raila.
Mr Norman Magaya CEO NASA has also condoled with the family.
Migori Governor Okoth Obado has described the senator as a true son of Migori County.
“On behalf of the my family and the people of Migori, I send my sincere condolence and deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Ben. His death has robbed Migori of a true son who cherished peace. May he rest in peace,” Said Obado.
Uriri MP Mark Nyamita, MP Peter Masara of Suna West and Tom Odege of Nyatike Constituency have also send their heartfelt condolences.
The body of the deceased has been moved to Lee funeral Home.
