Residents have been warned against the use of illicit brew as the area senior chief Vows to continue fighting it.
Addressing residents at Matunwa village ,Mochenwa location in Gesima ward at a funeral, area senior chief Magara Makori warned residents that he will not entertain the illicit business in the area as he wants to retire honorably.
“I want to retire honorably ,I will not entertain illicit brewing in my location , whoever who will continue with the business will face the full force of law,” Magara said.
Magara challenged families to protect elderly people in the society by providing them with basic needs.
“It’s us who can make our parents to stay longer. I call upon all of us to make sure we protect them by providing their basic,” noted Magara
This has come few weeks after Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i gave a stern warning to lazy Chiefs threatening to send them home.
He also called parents to take care of their children more so during this half time.
