Kisii county education board chairman Dr. Henry Onderi has urged education stakeholders to work together to improve education standards in Gusii region.
According to Onderi unity can bring more improvement in education sector than having issues among stakeholders.
Speaking to The Daily Clock, Onderi said parents should pay school fees in time and teachers should also deliver their services in teaching to finish the syllabus in time to promote education standards in Gusii region.
“It is easy to improve education standards in Gusii region if we are united among all education stakeholders, my advice is to work together and the county education board is always ready to provide help where it is necessary,” said Onderi.
He also put parents on notice against buying motorbikes for their children to conduct business during holidays and on evening time after school.
”It is not the responsibility of children to look for School fees through transportation that is child labor they should be given sufficient time to study than involving in different business ,” he added.
He has threatened to take serious action against any parent who is promoting child labour that has prompted poor performance in education within the region.
