Isecha Level Four Hospital in Kitutu Chache North Sub County, Kisii County on Monday received a new inpatient block constructed by Safaricom Foundation.
The facility which has been handed over by Safaricom PLC acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Joseph Ogutu was received by Kisii County Governor James Ongwae and Area MCA Hon. Methuselah Ogero.
Ogwae who was also accompanied by His Deputy Joash Maangi and Former permanent secretary in the Ministry of Information and Communication Professor Bitange Ndemo thanked Safaricom for its efforts in transforming the lives of people.
“I wish to thank the Safaricom Foundation for the work it does in transforming lives through funding sustainable projects that leave an impact. As a County Government, we appreciate your contribution in education, health, environment and economic empowerment among other spheres of our economy,” Said Ongwae.
Isecha health facility serves about 1,200 patients each month. The project serves to complement the County Government’s efforts to bring healthcare services closer to the people.
The foundation also renovated the outpatient wing which houses a minor theater, male and female wards and constructed a 300,000 litre water harvesting tank.
