Ford Kenya Party Leader and Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula has hailed court of appeal for nullifying Machakos governor Alfred Mutua’s election on Friday.
Addressing the Ford Kenya Members in Nyamira town, Wetangula has said that Wavinya Ndeti won fairly during the 2017 August polls and justice has prevailed.
“I want to salute the court of appeal for overturning Alfred Mutua’s Election in Machakos because Mama Wavinya Ndeti is the one who won. Today truth and Justice has prevailed,” Said Wetangula.
He has urged Machakos County electorates to support her during the upcoming By-election.
Wetangula has said that Ford-Kenya party supports the government’s war on corruption but helpless people shouldn’t be targeted when big fish involved are out there adding that reforms must be done in I.E.B.C.
“Lets agree as Nyamira that we must have reformed I.E.B.C so that when we go to the next general election we don’t experience what we have seen,” Said Wetangula.
He has urged the government to release petty offenders from prison to create space for corrupt people who has frozen Kenya especially NYS.
Wetangula was accompanied by West Mugirango Mp Kemosi Mogaka, Mekenene Ward Mca Alphayo Ngeresa and other party members.
Kemosi has supported Wetangula’s sentiments on corruption adding that the national assembly will still reduce further the amount of money given to NYS if they can’t manage it.
