Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Simba Arati has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta to be careful with his close allies who are major beneficiaries of the current scandals in the country including the recent NYS scandal.
Speaking in Bobasi constituency during the donation of books, Arati said the Ksh. 8Billions that were stolen from NYS has been squandered by Uhuru’s close allies calling for proper investigations to flush out the cartels involved.
The legislature however issued strong warnings to a prominent politician in the country who is currently blackmailing MPs by giving them tokens to start premature campaign ahead of 2022 election.
“I don’t have money but nobody can bribe me by giving me 100,000 to campaign for premature elections of 2022,” Said Arati.
He alleged that the politician in question has also started to intimidate cabinet secretaries to ensure that his demands are met .
On matters of the Referendum, the legislator said Deputy President William in 2005 insisted that 20% of the constitution was bad and there was need to be amended, the MP says that now that he is going for the top seat he is opposing the move.
