Nairobi City Governor Mike Sonko has announced his return back to the city from his home in Machakos after his two week absentia from the city claiming his life is in danger. This comes after his security was withdrawn and only 5 were retained. Speaking on Sunday, Sonko has said he does not need any bodyguard.
“Some NASA leader their security was withdrawn but life still continued. Even me with Nairobi Residents life must still continue. I personally believe in my residents, Church and MCAs. Those are enough bodyguards for me” Said Sonko.
The Governor has asked Nairobi residents to work with him to change the face of the County.
“As from today, I will go back to my old leadership that made me the Governor. I will fight for the rights of the poor and less fortunate”
Sonko was in Kasarani where he attended Sunday service at A.I.P.C.A Church Njiru. He was accompanied by more than 100 MCAs from Nairobi County. The Ward representatives vowed to support Sonko in discharging his duties to Nairobi residents.
