Machakos County governor Alfred Mutua has supported the amendments of the current constitution to create other positions in the government.
According to Mutua all communities should be inclusive in the government to reduce commotions during elections.
Speaking on Thursday in kisii town during the handing over of the KICOSCA games to Kisii county Government, Mutua said prime minister and deputy prime minister Positions should be created to balance the leadership.
“We want all communities to be inclusive in the government, let the current constitution be amended,” said Mutua.
Mutua supported the handshake of the President Uhuru Kenyatta with opposition leader Raila Odinga for the sake of the peace in the country
“As leaders we are happy for the handshake and every individual should support that. We have seen fruits of it because the economy is improving very first, “added Mutua
He also assured Kisii community that his vision is to be the president 2022 and urged the community to support him when the time comes
“2022 I am going to vie for presidency I know you are my friends and I recognize you please support me to be the president of the republic of Kenya,” noted Mutua
His counterpart Kisii governor James Ongwae supported his sentiments in supporting the handshake of the two top leaders in the county from the government side and from the opposition side
