Opposition Leaders Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula have Joined the change movement aimed at reducing Kenya into 14 regions from the 47 counties.The two leaders seem to have an agenda: IEBC Must be restructured first.
“If you were to ask me if i support the referendum my answer is yes.If you were to ask me if i support constitutional change my answer is yes” Said Mudavadi in Kisumu
The two leaders’ sentiments sent a signal to the nation that they fully support the Idea of Opposition Leader Raila Odinga of reducing Kenya into 14 regions an Agenda that was given birth to during the 2018 Devolution Conference in Kakamega.
“We want to see this country moving parliamentary system that is inclusive in terms of representation by communities and regions” Wentangula said in Nakuru.
On Sunday, MPs from Jubilee party close to Dp William Ruto opposed the move for constitutional amendments saying it will separate and affect this country.
“The country is yet to recover from the last elections and calling for a referendum will cost Kenyans” Said Janet Nangabo Trans-Nzoia Women Representative.
They spoke this during an Harambee in Kitale in aid of Anglican Church of Kenya which was attended by DP William Ruto, Mr Robert Pukose, National Assembly Majority Whip Benjamin Washiali and Emmanuel Wangwe.
