Barely a day to the Bonchari by-election scheduled on Tuesday 18th, Jubilee party candidate in the contest Mr. Zebedeo Opore has received a major setback after the party Secretary for Kisii County Mr. Isaac Motari threw his weight behind the ODM candidate Eng. Pavel Robert Oimeke.

Speaking at Isamwera Catholic Church in Bomariba Ward in Bonchari Constituency today, Mr. Motari said he was not happy with the high-handedness and the self-sense of entitlement being exhibited by Mr. Opore throughout the campaign period which he said was against the rules of engagement.

“I have seen my candidate walking around with a contingent of police officers and using the same to intimidate and harass his opponents, this is not fair at all” he alleged.

He said his decision to support Mr. Oimeke was informed by his enthusiasm to help the people of Bonchari and bring fresh blood into the leadership of the constituency.

“I am the Secretary General of Jubilee for Kisii County and I am committed to my calling as the custodian of party activities here, but I will not just follow someone blindly simply because he had been an MP here, we want a true leader who will do things differently”.he quoted
