Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi accompanied by Members of Parliament from Kisii and Nyamira on Sunday delivered Deputy President Dr. William Ruto’s car he pledged to Itierio ELCK Bishop in February last year.
The car was handed over at the church premises to South West Diocese Bishop Joseph Omwoyo at Itierio ELCK Church in Bomorenda, Bonchari Constituency.
Addressing congregants, Maangi said there was a delay due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic which has wrecked Nations leading to a crippled economy.
“I have severally reminded the Deputy President on this promise he made. Today he has honored his pledge. It has been delayed due to the ongoing pandemic. He is a man of his words, now bishop has a car,” He said.
The 2022 Kisii gubernatorial Candidate pledged his support to the church citing a close partnership between the two levels of government and the Church.
“We appreciate the partnership between the church and the two levels of government in the provision of healthcare and education to the community. This is why we shall continue to support the church to help them run their programs,” He said.
He urged Bonchari electorates who are set for a By-Election on 18th May 2021 to come out in large numbers and vote for UDA candidate Mama Teresa Oroo.
“Mama Teresa is a God-fearing, humble and hardworking mother who understands the constituency and the development agenda Mzee Oroo Oyioka had started. On 18th May, Come in large numbers and vote for Teresa,” He urged.

Shadrack Mose of Kitutu Masaba in Nyamira, Hon. Vincent Kemosi of West Mugirango, Hon. Omingo Magara, Hon. Omwando the Kisii County UDA Coordinator, Hon. Anthony Kibagendi from the Office of the Deputy President, Everline Ogendo, Ben Momanyi, Japhet Nyakundi, and several MCA from Kisii and Nyamira.
