MCA Janganya charged with vandalizing Kisii Governor’s office door and panes worthy 5M

A Nominated MCA in Kisii County was on Wednesday  evening arraigned in court for destruction of the Kisii Governor’s entry door worthy 5M.

Erick Janganya and others not before court were charged for willfully and unlawfully damaged property at Kisii County government contrary to the penal code.

His lawyer Gideon Nyambati tabled an application for the MCA to be released on bond since he is a state officer therefor he will avail himself when wanted.

Nyambati further asked prosecution led by Edwin Otieno to supply them with witnesses statements.

Early Janganya was arrested by DCI officers in in a hotel In the outcasts of town while holding a press conference.

Before the chief Magistrate Stephen Onjoro Janganya pleaded not guilty to the charges and he was released on a Ksh. 100,000 bond and a cash bail of Ksh. 50,000 with a similar asurety.

The case will resume on 23december for a mention and 2nd June 2021 for a hearing
