Radio Personalty Gidi Gidi isolated after taking COVID 19 test

Popular Radio Presenter GIDI GIDI has isolated himself after developing flu-like symptoms. Gidi is popularly known for both his comic Radio Jambo and online Ungani show.

He announced that his doctor advised him to take COVID-19 test which he boldly took on Monday. He is waiting for the results and fans are hoping he will turn out negative.

“To my Radio and Online fans, Just to let you know that I have been feeling unwell since Friday with flu symptoms. The Doctor advised that I should take the COVID-19 test first, which I did yesterday and waiting for the results. I am taking a rest in self-isolation but feeling way much better today. Thanks for the support and hope to engage with you soon on air,” He posted.

A number of Media personalities have been tested. Among the tested include Citizen TV reporter Stephen Letoo who tested Positive, Bonny Musambi of KBC Radio Taifa was tested and he confirmed to have tested positive.

On 20th July, Jeff Koinange of Citizen TV announced his results. He said he was tested and turned out Positive though he had not shown any symptoms.

On 18 July 2020 Popular Comedian Papa Shirandula who had tested Positive collapsed and died at Karen Hospital in Nairobi. He was buried on Monday at his Funyula Home in Busia County.

On Tuesday this week, Ex Milele co-presenter Felix Oduor alias Jalang’o said he has been tested of COVID 19. He had earlier announced to Kiss 100 FM fans where he is currently working that they were to undertake a test alongside other presenters. They are still waiting for their results.

The station has already shut down its broadcasting studio in Nairobi ordering presenters to work from home as they clean and fumigate the studio.
