Gusii Tanga Tanga MPs quit Ruto for Matiang’i, Confirms Joash Nyamoko

Tanga Tanga Kisii and Nyamira Members of Parliament have officially ditched Ruto’s 2022 campaign ship to Join Interior Minister Doctor Fred Matiang’i.

Speaking at a live interview in one of the vernacular radio stations on Tuesday night, North Mugirango Member of Parliament Joash Nyamoko said they held a closed meeting on Friday last week and unanimously resolved to back Matiang’i.

“This is the time to come together as a community. No any other time. We had a closed meeting on Friday and agreed that Fred Matiang’i is the person to back. He is capable of uniting the Community Just as Mzee Nyachae did,” He said.

“Matiang’i has previously performed well in ministries. We are convinced that he is the right pillar to unite our community. We have our people in top positions and its time for us to utilize this opportunity,” He added.

Nyamoko further affirmed that they have already quit Ruto’s camp. He confessed that as elected, Nominated and Appointed leaders have on several occasions failed the electorate for their self-gain.

He dismissed reports that Ruto and his allies have formed a parallel party, Jubilee Asili arguing that its against the constitution. He swore and urged all Gusii leaders to shun criticism and unite.

Before the coronavirus pandemic hit the world, The MP was among the front line Tanga Tanga MP Ruto was using to push his 2022 agenda in Gusii.

He is on record as one of the MPs who used to utter harsh statements in addressing Matiangi. In December 2019 at Esanige grounds in Magwagwa ward, the MP asked Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i to give respect to Deputy President William Ruto.

He expressed serious concerns over how the Cabinet Secretary was addressing Ruto in Public rallies.
