Notorious Kisii Gangstar Arrested by DCI

A notorious criminal gangstar was on Sunday evening arrested by Directorate of Criminal Investigation in Molo, Nakuru County.

According to DCI’s information posted on their Facebook page, the 35-Year-Old Charles Mochama Omwoyo a member of a notorious criminal gang has been in a series of violent robberies within Nyamira, Kisii and Homa Bay Counties.

The suspect has been arrested by DCI detectives who with him recovered a Safaricom sim card he has been using to receive funds from their targeted victims.

Forensic analysis on the Safaricom line which on the 29th of April, 2020 received Ksh. 35,000 violently robbed from a male victim led the investigating team to Kapsita in Molo-Nakuru County where the suspect was nabbed.

DCI further revealed that the gang is linked to violent robberies including Masaba robbery on 3rd March 2020, Nyamira robbery on 28th March 2020, Kisii robbery on 3rd April involving a wholesaler, Marani robbery on 10th April 2020, and Kitutu robbery on 13th April, 2020.

Marani Subcounty in Kitutu Chache North, Kisii County in the recent past has experienced a series of robbery incidents carried out at night.

Most recent, a chief was attacked at Kiomooncha in his residential hose where they brutally injured him and his expectant wife. Th gang escaped with his uniform and some cash.

It was later reported that the same gang had broke into a nearby Mpesa on the same night where they escaped with expensive electronics.

Investigations have commenced to dig into the remaining gag members
