Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi’s office cars were on Friday Morning seized from his Kisii town residence by the Police.
On Tuesday, Maangi told the media in Kisii town that Corruption has started fighting him back.
Speaking to the Daily Clock, Maangi said at about 4am a contingent of about 12 armed Policemen walked into his residence and took away his county Government allocated vehicles.
“About 4am this morning(Friday) about 12 armed Policemen came to my residence in Kisii town ready with a tow track to tow away my county Government allocated vehicles but my domestic staff offered to give them Keys and they took away the vehicles,” Said Maangi.
A close ally to him said, the intention is to ground him completely. The vehicles have been taken to Kisumu for grounding.
Maangi further alleged that on Monday night while travelling from Nairobi to Kisii, a white pickup vehicle with GK registration numbers trailed him for a very long distance till he dodged it and took a different route.
He further told the Daily Clock that on Tuesday evening while travelling to Nairobi, somebody posted on social media that he was being trailed and will be arrested once he reaches Narok unveiling his car details.
Maangi also alleged that on Wednesday an officer from Kisii County Government told one of his friends that there are plans one of his 2022 gubernatorial competitors to cause harm to him and blame the Kisii County Governor for it.
Since 1st January 2020, Maangi has been vowing to move out of his comfort zone and rescue the embezzled Public resources at the Kisii County Government.
In his 1st January Presser, Maangi claimed that some leaders are hiding behind Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiangi for protection against graft.
He further told Matiangi to stop Using and walking with tainted leaders if they want Omogusii community to take him serious.
The Ruto Man now claims his life is in danger.
“Owing to the above I have reasonable believe that my life is truly in danger. I ask all Kenyans at Large to pray for me. My life is in danger,” Said Maangi.
