Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has warned corrupt leaders from Kisii who are running to Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i for protection.

The Ruto Point Man from Gusii told the media in Kisii on Wednesday that he is set to move out of his comfort zone to fight for swindled Public resources.

“If Matiang’i who is my friend wants as a community to take him serious, then he must stop using and walking with people who are already tainted,” Said Maangi.

“Matiang’i is my friend and he has not told anybody that he is vying for president. We will call all people, from all corners to support him when time comes. That time we shall know the truth. For now am supporting Deputy President Dr William Ruto for the top seat,” Added Maangi.

On Tuesday Night at Kisii School during the end year cross over ceremony, Maangi said leaders from Kisii and Nyamira are running to the CS for Protection against graft.

“Am willing to put this on record that what we do not want is people going to him for protection. Matiang’i is our son. We will support him when the right time comes,” Said Maangi in a meeting attended by Governor James Ongwae.

Kisii Governor James Ongwae, Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama, Kisii Senator Sam Ongeri, Kisii Women Rep Janet Ong’era and a section of MPs have been walking around protecting Matiang’i against attacks from critics.
