Kisii and Nyamira schools have proven to bounce back to glory after tremendous improvement in the Just released 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education results .
Cardinal Otunga Boys High school Mosocho in Kisii County, at least 10 candidates scored A – to beat a seven year jinx. The 141 candidates posted a mean of 7.2 a great improvement from 5 of last year.
Addressing the media on Thursday, The School Principal Chrispinus Owino attributed the improved performance on a new level of discipline from candidates and devotion from teachers who also covered the syllabus on time.
“we first want to thank God for this performances although it has been a steel climb descent but we are happy that we are back to the track in the league of winners ,”said Principal Otieno
Owino said the lackluster performance in the past years was due to indiscipline from Students which they have since dealt with.
The fallen giant shines again after 6 years of struggle since 2013 when the school posted good results for the last time.
Nyambuche Raphael led the pack with 80 points of A- who said that the hood result is due to hardworking, effort from teachers who were devoted to ensure that they prepared them well.
“I am so grateful for this great achievement , I thank my parents who real supported me for paying school fees in time, our teachers who we devoted without forgetting our principal, ” said Nyambuche.
Nyambuche added that he wants to pursue medicine in university.
In Masaba South, 259 of 366 candidates at Ichuni Girls got university entry grades. The number is up from the 168 candidates who joined university in 2018.
Ten candidates scored A minus . Overall, the school had a mean score of 7.65. They scaled 1 more point from the 2018 performance.
School Principal Mary Lucy Abidha told the media on Thursday that the sky is the limit for the girls
She attributed the continued good improvement to the spiritual nurture the students go through at the Catholic sponsored school, teamwork from teachers, well disciplined students and the good will they are receiving from the community.
At Kiage – Tumaini Boys High school all the 25 students got university entry grades. The school had a mean score of 8.6 achieved through the combined efforts from the Teachers and Students made.

At Nyamache Boys In Bobasi constituency only 44 of the 90 candidates secured university entry grades.
