Since the Building Bridges initiative was initiated, the tanga tanga movement has been having swaying opinions from opposing to fully supporting it.
The mount Kenya leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto have opposed calls for referendum and instead they want the National assembly do amendments.
Speaking in Siaya on Sunday, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen revealed that they are flexible to add whatever the peoples President Raila Odinga may deem included in the amendment.
“And if there is anything inside there, and you know personally have seen people rally out there. Baba himself has not spoke yet. If Baba says there is something that Yusufu Haji forgot to include, if its an office, if its work and he says we want to include it, there is no problem. Personally i will not see anything wrong. As Murkomen we will sit on the table and add it without a second thought,” He said.
Even as Tanga Tanga team continue to oppose the referendum, National Assembly speaker Justine Muturi has strongly Maintained that the BBI report must be implemented through a referendum..
Muturi sent shock waves by saying the report must only be implemented as per the wish of ODM Leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
