A family from Keumbu in Nyaribari Chache, Kisii County is seeking Justice after their 35 year old relative was assaulted and gang raped in the heavy rains by unknown people.
Alexina Moraa an orphan who operates an Mpesa shop at the area was hijacked on her way home last week Monday at West View area in Keumbu where she met her perpetrators.
According to reports from residents, the helpless orphan was rained on for a whole night and later discovered at 5am in a comma.
She was later admitted at the ICU in Kisii teaching and referral Hospital but unfortunately was pronounced dead on Friday.
Fred Onyambu her first cousin told The Daily Clock that the suspects are known and they have gone missing from home due to laxity from the police.
“I cant even call them suspects because if people have run away from home it means they are the ones who raped our daughter. I call upon the OCS Keumbu and his team to serve our family with Justice by arresting these men,” Said Onyambu.
For the last three months insecurity at Keumbu has gone high. Recently the ACCs house was raided by unknown people at night and escaped with household items.
“Here in Keumbu we are living in fear. The police have relaxed. Murder cases and theft has gone high. We ask the Minister for interior Dr. Fred Matiangi to make orders from above and even transfer these Police officers who have been here for decades,” Added Onyambu.
