Man allegedly escapes 'Murder' at Kisii County Assembly doorstep

A middle aged man who is well known by Kisii Governor James Ongwae and occasionally shares moments with County officials sustained cuts on his head in a confrontation with County security personnel manning the assembly offices.

The horrible incident happened on Monday at the assembly doorstep when the Man identified as James Omweno Alias Hasara from Bomachoge allegedly tried to force his way into county offices.

According to eye witness who requested anonymity, the man arrived to demand back his arrow which they confiscated from him months ago when the security officers who had grudge allegedly attacked him.

“In the confrontation they pushed him after some beatings and he fell on the door made of glasses. The glasses broke and landed on his head leaving him with deep cuts,” He said.

Speaking from his hospital bed at Kisii Teaching and referral Hospital Omweno said the officers attacked him after noticing he was on his way to sermon them before their bosses.

“They took my arrow few months ago. I went to follow up and after they noticed i will reveal the information to bosses, they confronted me and pushed me to a door made of glasses with some kicks. The glasses landed on me. They deeply cut my head and legs,” He cried James Omweno

Omweno is popularly known by his traditional attire made of animal skin he wears to public functions. He usually carries an arrow, a horn and a bow.

He is now receiving treatment at KTRH as Police Launch investigations to unveil the truth.
