Detectives on Wednesday raided a house within Siranga area in Dandora where they were able to recover several bales of expired Exe Wheat, Dola wheat and Golden Wheat flours.
According to DCI Kenya Twitter account, the goods which had expired in July 2018 were being repackaged to sold again in Shops and supermarkets.
“Detectives yesterday raided a house within Siranga area in Dandora & recovered several Bales of expired Exe Wheat, Dola Wheat and Golden Wheat Flours that were being repackaged after expiring in July 2018,” They tweeted
Two people Joyce Nyambura and Samuel Kamau were arrested in connection with the illegal act as investigations commence.
Kenyans now want to know where they get packets for repackaging saying Police should come out clear on the issue and save lives before its too late.
They have also urged the DCI to launch a crack down in supermarkets to fish out repackaged expired goods which might have gotten their way.
