After safely landing at JF Kennedy International Airport in New York City on Monday at 1:25pm East African Time, The Historic non stop direct flight has taken off from New York back to JKIA.
The plane which is already in the airspace making its way back to Kenya was seen off by Minster for foreign affairs Monica Juma who flew with the flight on Sunday night to US.
“I have witnessed the departure of KQ003 from JFK, New York to JKIA, Nairobi. Our dream to connect Africa to the Western hemisphere is now a reality,” Tweeted Minister for Foreign affairs Monica Juma.
The KQ flight which is expected to begin its daily flights provides New York and Nairobi- the only UN capital in the global South a unique opportunity and benefits of seamless connection that links the two headquarters.
Us Ambassador to Kenya Bob Godec has congratulated Kenya saying the Direct nonstop flights will unlock new opportunities for tourism, trade and investment between Kenya and United States.

The Historic dream liner is expected to touch the Kenyan soil on Tuesday afternoon a move that will pave way for historians to pen down this history in its own making, making Kenya the7th Country in Africa to have nonstop direct flights to the United States.
