Kisii County Director of Education Dr William Sugut has said that they are expecting a great improvement from candidates sitting for this year’s national Exams.
Speaking with the press on Wednesday, Director said a total of 908 KCPE centres and 376 KCSE centres will be collected their exams from 11 containers in the 11 sub counties.
The 2018 KCPE candidates are 32,431 , compared to 30,617 Candidates in 2017, 2018 KCSE candidate are 26,654 an improvement compared to the one of 2017 where they were 250,72.
Dr Sugut assured the public that they are well prepared for this year examination.
“We are well prepared for this years examination, adequate arrangement have been made and we look forward to have a successful exercise, “said Director.
According to him every institution is a hot spot and should be able to adhere to examination guidelines.
“I urge the schools to have the examinations run as per the guidelines provided and anyone deviating from it will be dealt with according to the law,”he said.
Dr Sugut appealed to the stakeholders to decease from any action that will lead to illegal examination malpractices.
He urged students to be honest in anything they do and work hard.
