Kisii county women representative Janet Ongera has called for justice to the families who lost their relatives in Kenyenya almost two weeks ago who were allegedly killed by the police.
The county Mp gave a seven days warning arrest of the culprits or else they will use other means until they are arrested.
Addressing residents of Bomachoge on Friday, during the burial ceremony of the late Paul Onderi and Hesborn Onkona, the Kisii County Woman Rep Hon Sen Janet Ong’era demanded that justice be served to the bereaved families.
According to Mama county it is worrying that at this era police can use excessive force leading to lose of life.
“We call upon the police to stop using excessive force since they have been trained on how to contain the situation whiteout using live bullets,” said County Mp.
She condemned the act by calling for the arrest of the police officer who did the act so that the families can get justice.
“As elected leaders we will ensure the police officer who did this is arrested, ” she said
“It is sad that these young men had their lives cut short leaving behind young families. We shall work to ensure justice is served and that the bereaved families receive compensation” she added
