According to report sent to our news room, the youths addressed “Miss Tourism Nyamira County” controversy,” the issue of collecting signatures against the County Government of Nyamira, the Resist tax payment initiative carried out in some towns among them Miruka and Ekerenyo, empowerment of young graduates and form four leavers, the boda boda industry and how youth can collaborate both with the County and national government.
Present were Comrade Nyambega Gisesa, Dennis Marube of Ekerenyo ward (ODM Youth League Chairman Nyamira County), Kepha Moenga of Magwagwa ward( President of Gusii Youth Leadeers Association), mobiliser Beavon Magare of Gesima ward, former nominated MCA Julius Marita of Ekerenyo Ward, Matoke of Bokeira ward( Youth Governor Nyamira County), mobiliser Jason Mogaka of Township ward, political pundit Levy Ombogo of Township ward and his team made up of Kefah and Nyatigo of Bogichora ward, the young firebrand Mambo of Ekerenyo ward and dozens of others.
“We demand to know how and when Miss Tourism Nyamira was Conducted. We hope the County Assembly will get into the bottom of this matter,” Said Beavon Magara.
On his part John Mabo said Boba boda have become a menace to youths.
“Boda Boda have become a menace. Youth Leaders need to rise up and provide leadership on this issue,” He said.
“It is important for citizens of our dear county to pay taxes and at the same time that despite a few challenges the county was developing and they will see great change in the coming months,” Said Nyambega Gisesa.
Gisesa further said the issue of signatures collection will not achieve any objective as there is no crisis in the County.

Despite different political stands, youth have a duty to help in its development. On the other issues, they agreed to continue engaging and expand the horizons of the discussions involving youth empowerment.
