Miss Tourism Kenya on Sunday handed over the tools of trade to Kisii county government a head of the final auditions of selecting miss tourism Kisii.
Being the fourth edition since devolution came in place, the county is looking for the best contestant who will carry the throne.
Speaking at Ufanisi hotel, County Event coordinator Peter Karanja he purposely came to hand over the crown, shush and also the certificates of all the participants.
“The participants must internalize and train on the six pillars of miss tourism Kenya and also be familiar with the Kisii county surrounding,” said Karanja.
He noted that so far they have handed over the tools of trade to 27 counties for the counties miss tourism selections.
Kisii county minister of trade tourism and industry Edina Kangwana noted that the 11 girls who were selected in the first auditions have shown their best brain with beauty.
“On 17th this month we shall choose the best girl who will be crowned miss tourism Kisii County,“ she noted.
She assured the girls to be competitive and sell the county in the outside world.
“Modeling is just a sport where our girls have come to show case their talents and we have provided them with the necessary resources,” she noted.
Kisii county first lady Elizabeth Ongwae said the girls should sell the county tourist sites such as the Tabaka soapstone, the Manga hills, Nyankweta forest the good hotels and also the kisii traditional culture.
“Our girls will also represent the county during the Kicosca games which starts tomorrow by showing off the beauty of the county with sports,”said Mrs Ongwae.
